Chocolatey Whole Grain Cinnamon Toast Treats
Bite-size whole grain cinnamon toast dipped in dark chocolate. Your favorite breakfast treat turned into a guilt-free dessert.







Chocolatey Whole Grain Cinnamon Toast Treats
Prep Time: 20 Minutes   Ready In: 1 Hour   Servings: 20 to 22 bites   

Ingredients:
6   slices   Roman Meal bread, toasted dark golden brown
¼   cup   Unsalted butter
3   tbsp   Sugar
¾   tsp   Ground cinnamon
1   cup 6oz   Semisweet or dark chocolate morsels
Directions:
1.  Line baking sheet with wax paper.
2.  Crumble toast into food processor; process until mixture resembles coarse meal. Remove one tablespoon toast crumbs from food processor; set aside. Add sugar, butter and cinnamon into food processor; process until mixture begins to hold together.
3.  Scoop one tablespoon toast crumb mixture; form into 1-inch balls. Place on prepared baking sheet. Freeze for 30 minutes.
4.  Microwave morsels in small, uncovered, microwave-safe bowl on high (100%) power for 1 minute. Some morsels may remain their original shape; stir. If needed, microwave at additional 10 to 15 second intervals, stirring just until morsels are melted.
5.  Dip balls completely into melted morsels with fork. Use side of bowl or shake gently to remove excess chocolate; sprinkle with reserved toast crumbs. Return to baking sheet; refrigerate for 20 minutes or until set. Store in tightly covered container in refrigerator.
